The STRATUS project, launched with great enthusiasm and determination, is poised to revolutionize the agricultural landscape in Europe. With a primary focus on Integrated Fertilisation Management, this ambitious initiative aims to foster collaboration among advisory bodies across the continent, facilitating the creation and dissemination of knowledge essential for sustainable agricultural practices.

The project's main objective is to establish a robust technical advisory network dedicated to optimizing the use of fertilisers. By connecting agricultural advisors and experts, STRATUS seeks to accelerate the adoption of innovative practices aimed at achieving the objectives outlined in the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity Strategies. Through this collaborative effort, the project aims to reduce nutrient losses to the environment while ensuring the long-term fertility of soils.

The launch meeting, held in February in the picturesque region of Navarra, Spain, marked a significant milestone in the project's journey. During the event, participants had the opportunity to witness firsthand organic fertilisation trials conducted by the coordinating partner on one of its experimental farms. These trials, focused on horticultural-fruit crops, provided valuable insights into different initiatives and strategies aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture.

Over the course of the two-day program, which was dedicated entirely to workshops, more than 30 project partners from various European countries came together to share their expertise and insights. Through participatory methodologies, they collectively defined the action plan for the first year of the project, setting the stage for impactful collaboration and knowledge exchange.
