Professor

I am a specialist in agricultural extension (interactive innovation and communication), agricultural education and training, as well as sustainable rural development, with a particular emphasis on participatory methods. I work at the Unit of Agricultural Extension, Rural Systems & Rural Sociology, Department of Agricultural Economics & Rural Development, Agricultural University of Athens.

I am currently a member of the GFRAS Board and have previously served as President of the steering committees of IFSA (International Farming Systems Association – European Group) and ESEE (European Society for Extension Education). I am also an expert in SWG SCAR AKIS and in the TWG AKIS of the CAP Evaluation Helpdesk. In addition, I am a member of the Agricultural University of Athens advisory team to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food for Greece’s CAP Strategic Plan, focusing on AKIS. I have served as Co-Editor of The Journal of Agricultural Education & Extension and am currently a member of its Editorial Committee.

I have participated in numerous research and collaboration projects, including several H2020 projects such as ATTRACTISS, i2connect, FAIRshare, AgriLink, AgriDemo-F2F, AgriSpin, and PRO-AKIS, as well as ERASMUS+ projects. I am also a member of the International and Strategic Advisory Boards of the projects modernAKIS, NEFERTITI, and NEWBIE.

I am the author and co-author of papers published in scientific journals such as the Journal of Agricultural Education & Extension, Journal of Rural Studies, and Sustainability, and I regularly contribute to international conferences on AKIS, extension, advisory services, and Innovation Support Services.
