Anita Dzelme

Anita Dzelme have a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, with a specialization in Regional Development and Economics.
Anita works at the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre for many years. She lead the Project and Development Department what provides her with a deep understanding of the realities of advisory work, as well as direct insight into the challenges and expectations that advisors face at the local level.
Also Anita has served as the vice-Chairman of the EUFRAS Board since 2022.
Looking ahead, Anita Dzelme aims to continue her work across three priority areas:
strengthening the connection between EUFRAS and its members, fostering a more active community built on collaboration and shared values;
continuing to support member participation in the "Horizon Europe" programme and other EU-funded projects, ensuring that the expertise of advisors is represented within European research, innovation, and results-oriented collaborative initiatives;
continuing to develop the "Young EUFRAS" initiative, which serves as a vital platform for the professional growth of the next generation of advisors.
Anita believe strongly in EUFRAS role as a connector—linking advisors, organizations, researchers, and policymakers across Europe.
