Meet our speakers:

• Komlan Avia – Plant geneticist at INRAE Colmar, France, and co-leader of a multidisciplinary research group. He leads the French national grapevine breeding program conducted at INRAE-Colmar, releasing over a dozen disease-resistant cultivars, and coordinates the Horizon Europe project GrapeBreed4IPM.

• Soon Li Teh – Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, where he directs the Grape Breeding and Enology Program, developing cold-hardy, disease-resistant cultivars. He is a co-investigator on VitisGenIII, a USDA-funded project running for more than 15 years.

• Giorgio Gambino – Research Director at the CNR Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (Italy). He leads the “Functional Genomics and Eco-physiology” group, focusing on grapevine genetic improvement, and coordinates the Horizon Europe project Shields4Grape.
