EUFRAS takes part in new Horizon Europe project dynADVICE

The September meeting marked the first important step in this seven-year project, which aims to strengthen the professional capacity of agricultural advisers and build a more closely connected advisory network across Europe. The project is coordinated by Teagasc, Ireland’s Agriculture and Food Development Authority, and is funded under the Horizon Europe program.

At the kick-off meeting, the partner organizations worked towards a shared understanding of the project’s objectives, laid the foundations for cooperation and agreed on how the work would be organized. Such international cooperation is essential for making the experience and knowledge developed within agricultural advisory systems across Europe more accessible to others.

The long-term ambition of dynADVICE is to create a European ecosystem of agricultural advisory networks that continuously learns, collaborates and helps move knowledge into practice. EUFRAS involvement in the project provides an opportunity for agricultural advisory organizations across Europe to contribute to this process and strengthen international exchange and cooperation.

Agricultural advisers play a vital role in connecting research and innovation with farmers day-to-day decisions. At the same time, advisory systems across Europe remain relatively fragmented, and advisers do not always have equal opportunities for professional development, knowledge exchange and access to the latest knowledge. dynADVICE aims to help bridge this gap.

At the heart of the project is the idea of creating dynamic learning communities, where advisers and advisory organizations from different countries and sectors can regularly exchange experience, develop new skills and work together to find solutions to practical challenges.

Planned activities will include training, mentoring, peer learning, workshops, international visits and exchange opportunities. Multilingual digital tools and a shared online environment will further support knowledge exchange and continued engagement.

One of the most interesting elements of the dynADVICE project is its €3.9 million in cascade funding, which will be distributed through seven open calls. This will create opportunities for agricultural advisers and advisory networks beyond the original project consortium to take part in project activities.

The first open call is expected to be launched in early 2027.

The full name of the dynADVICE project is DYNamise ADvisors through Valuable Interaction for Capacity Building and Engagement. Its ambition is captured in the motto: “An ecosystem of agricultural advisory networks in motion.”

On 22–23 September 2026, the kick-off meeting of the new European Union-funded dynADVICE project took place in Kilkenny, Ireland. The project brings together 21 organizations from 16 European countries and has a total budget of almost €10 million. EUFRAS was represented by Anita Dzelme, Vice-Chairman of the EUFRAS Board.
