European Innovation Partnership 'Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability' (EIP-AGRI) Innovation Awards 2024 for Operational Groups Awards ceremony!

With the EIP-AGRI Innovation Awards, we celebrate the achievements and successful implementation of EIP-AGRI Operational Group (OG) projects. The aim of the Awards is to recognise and reward outstanding EIP-AGRI OGs which have developed innovative practices, solutions, products and processes.

We are delighted to reveal the winners of the EIP-AGRI Innovation Awards 2024 for Operational Groups, celebrated during a distinguished ceremony in Estoril, Portugal, on May 7, 2024.

The ceremony will honor exceptional achievements across six thematic categories, showcasing excellence in agricultural innovation.

The esteemed jury includes seven members from various sectors: farmers' organizations, environmental groups, research institutions, advisory bodies, SMEs and businesses, the AGRI DG, and the EIP-AGRI support mechanism.

Our Vice-Chairman, Anita Dzelme, had the honor of representing EUFRAS on the prestigious jury and announcing the winner in the Animal Welfare and Husbandry category: Parsutt – Parma Ham High Sustainability Standard from Italy.

The awards ceremony, held as part of the EU CAP Network conference 'EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Innovation in Practice', recognized the extraordinary achievements of over 3,400 Operational Groups from across Europe.

Among the laureates were innovative projects from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Ireland, and Spain, across categories such as Sustainable Management of Natural Resources, Business Models in Food Supply Chains, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Sustainable Forest Management, and Digitalization.

Additionally, Italy's SHEEP-UP project secured the prestigious 'public favorite' award, showcasing the widespread support and recognition this exceptional project received.

With over 11,000 online votes cast, these awards highlight the crucial role of collaboration and innovation in driving sustainable agricultural practices across Europe.
