Fast-Track CECRA Train the Trainer Programme in Ireland, February 9-13, 2026

An intensive 5-day training for experienced communication and rural advisory professionals aiming to become CECRA trainers. The programme focuses on practical training methods, interactive learning, and trainer self-reflection, enabling participants to deliver CECRA Modules 1 and 2 and understand the CECRA certification system at European level.

Fast-Track CECRA Train the Trainer Programme in Tullamore, Ireland, February 9-13, 2026

The CECRA Fast-Track TTT is organized by TEAGESC.

There is limited number of places offered to participants from EUFRAS member organizations to take part in the program, where future CECRA trainers are qualified.

CECRA is the European competence development program for rural advisors, run by IALB and EUFRAS, see www.cecra.net

About CECRA

CECRA is a modular training programme on methodological basics in advisory work, open for rural advisors. The program concludes with a certificate. The "Certificate for European Consultants in Rural Areas" (CECRA) is the first European competence development program with an international certificate meeting the rising demand for advisor method training. The networks IALB and EUFRAS, with their represented organizations (including Teagasc) are the providers of the CECRA Certification.

Benefits

The participants of this fast-track TTT Program will be enabled to independently carry out the two compulsory CECRA modules, as well as some of the elective modules in a participant-oriented and effective way. They will be knowledgeable about the CECRA certification system. With this, the foundation for a certification of consultants according to CECRA standards is laid. An outlook will be given on the training of some of the elective CECRA Modules, among them Module 9, Moderation.

Participants duties and responsibilities

  • Perspective to prepare and deliver CECRA training modules in the respective country

  • Actively participate in the development of CECRA at European level

  • Complete regular evaluation of CECRA modules to ensure a high-quality standard in the delivery of training.

Target group: For whom is this program intended?

  • The 5-day CECRA fast-track training programme in Tullamore in February 2026 will be delivered for future CECRA trainers, candidates with previous experience in delivering communication trainings. Background in rural advisory work is expected.

Note:

A regular CECRA Train the Trainer programme (15 training days) is envisaged to start in 2027 for all other candidates.

Course Content

Intensive 5-day Train-the-Trainer Course with the focus on practical exercises and reflection on trainer behaviour and performance

  • Planning, implementing and evaluating interactive trainings on advisory methods

  • Manage adult learning settings for the imparting of skills

  • Clarification of the trainer’s role and how to link seminar content to practice

  • Develop a participatory and practice-oriented trainer mindset

  • Capacitation to carry out CECRA Module 1 and Module 2

  • Overview over CECRA elective modules, ability to perform them in parts
