The internationally renowned IALB, EUFRAS and SEASN Conference will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland on 10 – 13 September 2024.

The event is the largest agricultural consultancy conference in Europe. The conference aims to bring together consultants from across Europe to explore how different countries integrate education and research with advisory to deliver best practice. The theme of the 2024 event is ‘Adaption to Net Zero’ and promises a mix of inspiration, learning, networking, and knowledge for delegates.

Through a range of workshops, keynote addresses, cultural showcases, tourist experiences and networking opportunities, the conference will explore the Scottish agricultural system, and how it builds and leverages relationships between people working in the rural economy (and those in research, education, and advisory) to enhance the sustainability of rural land-use in Scotland.

The conference has four busy days of activity to get involved in, including a celebratory conference dinner on the first evening which will feature a range of Scottish cultural entertainment including a ceilidh!

One key area of the conference is specialised field trips with a range of diverse tours looking at areas such as ‘Environmental Initiatives, Organics & Diversified Farming’ or ‘Technology & Improving Livestock Business Performance’. There are also two more general, tourist-focused additional trips on the fourth day, taking in the sights of Perthshire and Argyllshire – Tickets are limited for these as they have been exceptionally popular – book quickly to avoid disappointment…

Additionally, conference attendees can submit a poster to the poster competition - Delegates are invited to contribute their projects and plans, advisory and educational methods and new ideas to the conference under this year’s theme, via the poster session
