End of March the second of three seminars of the second generation of Cecra trainers took place in Novo mesto, Slovenia.

11 participants attended our training from six countries (Estonia, Lithuania, Belgium, Croatia, Greece, and Slovenia), we were under the guidance of excellent trainers Olivia Hartmann and Thomas Fisel. We learned about the contents of Cecra module 2: Communication and building relationships in counseling work.

The good dynamics of our coaches allowed us to get acquainted in a stimulating environment with many different approaches and methods of content that are extremely important for our advisory work and relationships with farmers (clients).

We had a chance to actively tested and co-created different approaches and methods in a very creative way. In the second part of the week, we also tested ourselves in the preparation and implementation of a short workshop.  We conducted the training in a safe learning environment, which also enabled mistakes from which we learned a lot. The training was extremely useful and practically oriented.

The participants also used the rare free moments during the day for informal gatherings, exchanges of ideas, and networking.  We had a pleasant and well-guided tour of Novo mesto, which was conducted by students of the Secondary School of Hospitality and Tourism in Novo mesto, and on Wednesday we drove to Trška gora above Novo mesto, where we pampered ourselves in the wine cellar of the Center for Biotechnology and Tourism with typical Slovenian food in the company of the school director T. Hrovat, director of CAFS Janez Pirc, head of the agricultural advisory service of Slovenia Anton Jagodic, and first Cecra generation coach Igor Hrovatič.

In a very pleasant spirit and gratitude for all the shared experiences, practices, and ideas, we said goodbye on Friday night.

We left with many new ideas, knowledge, methods, shared experiences, and plans for the implementation and practical testing of our new knowledge in our work environments.

We look forward to our next meeting, scheduled for September in Latvia.
