In the Erasmus+ EUFRAS-YPARD Advisor Mentorship and Training Program 2022/23, experienced advisors and specialists mentored young talent to foster their growth in rural advisory services. The program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, addressing challenges faced by young advisors at the beginning of their careers.

Mentors were carefully selected based on their extensive experience in rural advisory work and commitment to knowledge transfer. They invested approximately 30 hours over 10 months to support and guide their mentees through the program.

For mentors, participation offered opportunities to expand their network, engage with young colleagues, and contribute to the professional development of the next generation of advisors. The program facilitated intergenerational exchanges, empowering young advisors to thrive in their roles.

Throughout the program, mentees participated in monthly online debriefing sessions and organized advisory visits as part of their certification requirements. These visits provided practical experience and structured feedback, enhancing mentees' advisory skills and client interactions.

The YEUFRAS-YPARD Digital Event: Meet Your Mentor, Know Your Cohort, facilitated connections between mentors and mentees, setting the stage for meaningful collaboration and knowledge sharing.
