Today, 29 January, the EUFRAS team invited friends and all interested stakeholders to the first EUFRAS Coffee Break online event of the year.
This event was organised in collaboration with the Horizon Europe project EU-FarmBook, under the theme “How EU-FarmBook Can Strengthen Your Daily Advisory Work.”
The event brought together nearly 50 live participants out of more than 80 registered attendees, representing 21 countries, highlighting the strong interest in accessible knowledge and its practical application in agriculture and forestry.
The event was opened by Anita Dzelme (EUFRAS), together with Robby Cloesen (Boerenbond Projects) and Eduard Mauri (The European Forest Institute), all of whom are actively involved in the EU-FarmBook project.
Anita introduced participants to the EU-FarmBook project and its platform, shared video materials, and emphasised that the platform is not just a knowledge repository, but a bridge between science and practice. It was highlighted that useful information for farmers and advisors is often difficult to find, and that the EU-FarmBook platform addresses this challenge by providing access to knowledge gathered from around 2000 registered projects (including 261 Horizon Europe projects and more than 1500 operational projects).
The webinar continued with Robby Cloesen, one of the EU-FarmBook ambassadors in Belgium. He underlined that the platform is free of charge, multilingual (available in 24 languages), user-friendly, and built on the FAIR principles — discoverable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. Robby also presented the project’s objectives and delivered a practical live demonstration of the platform.
In the final part of the webinar, Eduard Mauri addressed the questions “Does your project generate practical knowledge?” and “Can your project be included in the EU-FarmBook platform?”, while also sharing key statistics on the project and platform usage.
Overall, the event provided valuable and practical insights into the EU-FarmBook project and the platform’s potential, clearly demonstrating how advisors and farmers can use this tool in their daily work.
A sincere thank you to all participants for joining, and special thanks to Anita, Robby, and Eduard for sharing their knowledge and experience.
See you on 26 February!
If you were unable to join the event, we invite you to watch the recording on the EUFRAS YouTube channel and presentation is available here.
